Default OSX Install and gpseginstall error

Hi, I'm just trying to get a basic single node install setup on a mac book pro running osx 10.6. I've downloaded the community edition (4.2), got as far as the 'gpseginstall' section but it fails with an error:

'This utility is only supported on the linux and solaris operating system'

I'm confused, can anyone explain why this has happened and how to resolve it?

    Hi,

actually gpseginstall is supported only on Linux and Solaris.

On OSX you have to setup segment hosts manually.
