Kalyan Roy joins Greenplum as Regional Director for India
Veteran technology leader joins Database Software company as leader of India organization
San Mateo, Calif. – May 18, 2009 – Greenplum, a leading provider of database software for the next generation of data warehousing and analytics, today announced that Kalyan Roy has joined Greenplum as Regional Director for India. Mr. Roy, a 17-year veteran of leading IT companies, brings deep experience in the Indian software market to Greenplum.
Mr. Roy most recently was a national channel manager for IBM, and prior to that had an extensive career in sales at HP, leading some of the largest sales deals in a range of vertical markets including telecommunications, banking and finance, and manufacturing. Prior to HP, Mr. Roy was a sales manager and business development manager at Wipro Technologies.

Mr. Roy has a BA from Calcutta University and an MBA from Indira Gandhi University.
