Architecting a Data-Driven Organization

Organizations are under pressure to increase the speed and effectiveness of their decision-making to increase business agility. Increasingly, expanded analytic capabilities are the means to achieve this goal - and that requires more than just a big data analytics platform. Organizations need to update the skills of their teams, foster an environment that enables analytic productivity, and develop a mindset towards data that values it as the new "fuel" for organizational productivity. Learn why human skills such as creativity, communications and leadership are becoming more valuable than ever in the era of big data.

Getting Agile Through Big Data Analytics

Organizations across sectors are faced with a major challenge beyond the massive amount of data being generated. It’s unclear which technology mix provides the operational and business agility required for deriving maximum value from big data – so most organizations continue to work with limited point solutions or traditional BI tools. Learn why big data productivity requires an upgrade to a purpose-built, unified analytics platform and how bringing this capability into your organization gives you a decision advantage that will put you ahead of your competition.

Big Data Requires Big Networks

The growth of big data and the continuing dramatic decline in the cost of storage and computer processing power are having a profound impact on the way business is being conducted across sectors. This webinar focuses on the network as the fundamental technology that powers the compute and storage levels of the big data stack. You'll learn why low-latency, nonstop networking is essential to keeping data flowing smoothly throughout your organization and enabling timely, precise analytics that enhance your business decisions.

BEYOND BI: Transforming your Business with Big Data Analytics

Do you use all the information you should when you make your most important decisions? Is your organization prepared to go beyond BI to enable breakthrough insights and decisions that transform the way you do business? Join Gartner Analyst, Merv Adrian and Greenplum thought leaders and customers for a webcast series that sets your organization up for success with big data analytics.

BIG DATA: The Answer to Agile

Introducing the industry’s next-generation platform for Big Data Analytics, you'll find out why adopting a unified approach to Big Data Analytics is the only way to achieve an agile business. Bio Jeremy Howard

About Jeremy Howard

Jeremy Howard is the President and Chief Scientist at Kaggle. Previously, he founded FastMail (sold to Opera Software) and Optimal Decisions (sold to ChoicePoint – now called LexisNexis Risk Solutions). Prior to that he worked in management consulting, at McKinsey & Company and A.T. Kearney, but he is now nearly fully recovered.

Jeremy’s passion is applying algorithms to data. At FastMail he used algorithms to automate nearly every part of the business – as a result the company only needed a total of 3 full time staff, and got over a million signups. Optimal Decisions was a business entirely built to commercialise a new algorithm he designed for the optimal pricing of insurance.

Jeremy competes regularly in data mining competitions, which he uses to test himself and stay on the leading edge of machine learning and predictive modelling technology. His competition performance history is available on his Kaggle profile page . If you have beaten Jeremy in a competition, he would appreciate it if you didn’t rub it in too much.
